Pike
These are the words that we didnt know for the poem «Pike» Inches: to move by inches or small degrees: We inched our way along the road. Grandeur: the quality or state of being lofty or elevated in conception or treatment: the grandeur of a prose style. Emerald: having a clear, deep-green color. Amber: a pale yellow, sometimes reddish or brownish, fossil resin of vegetable origin, translucent, brittle, andcapable of gaining a negative electrical charge by friction and of being an excellent insulator. Subdued: quiet; inhibited; repressed; controlled: After the argument he was much more subdued. Sag: to hang down unevenly; droop: Her skirt was sagging. Jammed: to press, squeeze, or wedge tightly between bodies or surfaces, so that motion or extrication is madedifficult or impossible: The ship was jammed between two rocks. shrank: to draw back, as in retreat or avoidance: to shrink from danger; to shrink from contact.
